David is an award winning songwriter, composer, arranger, orchestrator, MIDI programmer and M.D.

Having graduated from the Guildhall School of Music in 1990, he went on to Major in Film Scoring and Arranging at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA.

Composer

David has many years of songwriting, composing & arranging credits in film, TV, media, commercial album writing/arranging and numerous theatrical credits as well. His music has been heard on over 100 TV & Film Productions, with clients ranging from BBC TV & Radio, to ITV and Sky.

As well as being a top level songwriter, David is a niche expert at creating orchestral / crossover scores that fit seamlessly into your project.  A specialist in using cutting edge technology with the latest industry standard sound sources, David is highly adept at creating that “big hollywood” sound working with both live musicians and MIDI orchestration alike.

Musical Director

David has worked as MD and assistant MD on stages all over the UK and through Europe. He is a highly experienced vocal coach and has worked with many of the leading names in the industry.  He has toured internationally with large and small scale productions and is equally adept at working with large casts and small ensembles alike.

Educator / Consultant

David is a Logic Certified Trainer and one of the UK National Sibelius Trainers.

David is also a regular guest lecturer at the Birmingham Conservatoire (film scoring) and runs an annual film scoring summer school there.
